Amy is an enthusiastic young professional with a background in public policy and law. She has a passion for advocacy and accessibility. Amy is driven to create an equitable Aotearoa where people and communities can positively engage with politics and government.

In her penultimate year of a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts Conjoint, majoring in Politics, her experience spans from serving as a Research Assistant at the Public Policy Institute to Chairperson of her local youth board. Through her experience, she has been able to analyse issues of importance to her community and offer proactive assistance.

Her work as Intersectionality and Advocacy officer for Women in Law and as an advocate for Auckland Action Against Poverty enriched her understanding of what it means to be an effective advocate.

In her free time, Amy enjoys trying new food spots and isn’t afraid of an adventurous meal.

She also loves spending time reading, at the beach in the summer or with a good cup of tea in the colder months.
