Isabella (Bella) Drummond

Taura Awhi | Awhi Intern
Ngāti Maniapoto

Bella is a motivated young professional driven by a desire to contribute to justice, equity, and the evolving partnership between the Crown and iwi Māori. Her interests lie in the ways that politics, public policy, and te ao Māori can intersect.

Currently in her third year of study, Bella is completing a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Auckland. She is drawn to spaces where legal frameworks can better reflect the needs and aspirations of all communities in Aotearoa.

Outside of her studies, Bella volunteers with the Equal Justice Project, a student-led pro bono organisation focused on promoting equal access to justice for vulnerable groups in society. With a strong appreciation for tikanga, whanaungatanga, and kaitiakitanga, she strives to carry these values across her personal and professional life.

Bella spends her free time enjoying and exploring the outdoors, rotating between adventurous new hikes, light strolls, and swims at the beach.
